ISPs are facing new limitations to provide high-speed Internet services, according to the new regulation issued by Radio Transmissions and Regulations Organization of the ministry of communications.
Based on this regulation, ISPs are banned to provide high-speed Internet services with capacities higher than 128 kb/s to both private and corporate users, said Hesam-al-din Arabzadeh, public relations director of Radio Transmissions and Regulations Organization.
All ISPs that provide ADSL services should comply with the new regulation, Arabzadeh said. He made no further comments on the reasons for issuing such a regulation.
