Ahmad Motamedi, minister of communication and IT, has said that the two new members have been added to the committee that decides which websites to be filtered.
The new members are from Organization for Islamic Culture and Communication, a religious conservative group which is mostly funded by the Supreme Leader's office, and from Supreme Cultural Revolution Council, which is another conservative body consisted mostly of hardline conservatives appointed by the Supreme Leader.
None of the names of the now five member committee are publicly announced and Mr. Motamedi has also called for their names be revealed and for a spokesperson for the committee.
